Dr. Jessica L. Dozier is a public health scientist whose research examines how gendered power in intimate relationships and broader social and structural contexts shape sexual and reproductive health, reproductive autonomy, experiences of gender-based violence, and access to health care across U.S. and global settings. Her work seeks to inform interventions and policies that support reproductive autonomy and advance health equity. As part of this broader program, she is developing and evaluating a clinical intervention to address reproductive coercion and studying men’s use of reproductive coercion to inform primary prevention strategies.
Dr. Dozier earned her PhD in Population, Family and Reproductive Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, her MPH in Global Health from Emory University, and her BA in Women’s and Gender Studies from the University of Michigan.
