Hilary Habeck Hunt, PhD serves as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute for Research on Women and Gender at the University of Michigan and the Monuments Workshop at the University of Kentucky. She recently completed her PhD at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where her dissertation investigated collective land tenure practices in Wisconsin’s conservation landscape. At IRWG and the Monuments Workshop, Dr. Hunt focuses on landowner / landholder relationships and resource access as they relate to the establishment of monuments. Before coming to academia, Dr. Hunt spent almost a decade in nonprofit land conservation and environmental justice nonprofits.
