Massy Mutumba
Dr. Mutumba is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Behavior and Biological Sciences at the University of Michigan School of Nursing. She received her doctorate and master's degrees from the School of Public Health, University of Michigan. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mbarara University of Science and Technology in Uganda. Dr. Mutumba’s work on HIV focuses primarily on adolescents, with the goal of improving self-management of HIV, measurement and promotion of mental health and wellbeing including the integration of mental health and HIV. Her research on sexual reproductive health focuses on understanding the individual, community and institutional barriers to uptake of modern contraceptive methods in Sub-Saharan Africa.
