MiStory Incubator: Comparative Analysis of Culture and Trauma Recovery
Director(s):
Denise Saint Arnault, Professor, School of Nursing
Our Multicultural Study of Trauma Recovery group (MiStory), comprised of 35 members from 13 countries, examines how internalized cultural perceptions impact survivor recovery. We have applied cultural lenses to theory and instrument development to document survivors' strengths and challenges. This incubator application supports year one of a three year project. Aim 1 is the translation of qualitative data, Aim 2 a the development of a Baltic research group, including Bulgaria and Moldavia, and Aim 3 is a 3-day intensive analysis workshop to analyze data, part of which will develop the goals and plans for years 2 and 3.
