IRWG and the Institute for Firearm Injury Prevention have announced a partnership with the goal being to catalyze research on gender and firearms. Through the collaboration, U-M faculty will be able to apply for a new Catalyze Research Award of up to $25,000 to cover individual activities, such as research assistance, research-related travel, or research materials. The funds will also be available to support collaborative projects, such as pilot studies or initial research efforts. Applications from all academic disciplines, including the arts, humanities, and sciences are welcome. 

Interested U-M faculty are invited to an Informational Session for the Catalyze Research Award: Gender & Firearms on Friday, September 8 in the Ruthven Administration Building, Room 2180. Representatives from both IRWG and IFIP will share information about this new initiative, with refreshments and a reception.
