About

While Jennifer Proctor's interests are ever-changing, Proctor's creative work has explored handmade film practices, experimental documentary, and appropriation, as well as forays into nonlinear and interactive storytelling and installation. Both Proctor's scholarly and creative interests embrace issues of gender representation, cinematic deconstruction, and the history of experimental and narrative film. Jennifer Proctor's current research focuses on inclusive pedagogy in media production. She is co-founder and principal investigator of EDIT Media (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Teaching Media), a national initiative dedicated to researching, developing, and educating about best practices in inclusive teaching in media production. In Proctor's spare time, she studies abnormal feline behavior.
