Alexandra Vinson

Assistant Professor of Learning Health Sciences

Alexandra H. Vinson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Learning Health Sciences. Her research investigates how the medical profession adapts to broader changes in American society, focusing currently on the introduction of new testing technologies into medical school admissions. She uses qualitative research methods in her studies of work and educational settings, which have been published in Sociology of Health and Illness, Social Studies of Science, Social Science and Medicine, and Symbolic Interaction. Alexandra is a co-founder and leader of the Sociology of Health Professions Education Collaborative.
