About

I am a Clinical Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Section Director of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, in the Division of Gynecology within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan. I am a nationally recognized clinical and research expert in the field of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. I am a member of the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (NASPAG) where I have served in multiple leadership roles (member of the Board of Directors, Chair of the Abstract Committee, Chair of the Education Committee, and Program Chair for the upcoming World Congress of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology). I am the immediate past chair of both the Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology Interest Group of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) and the Gynecologic Working Group of the Pediatric Colorectal and Pelvic Learning Consortium (PCPLC). My research interests revolve around various aspects of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, including heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain/endometriosis, gynecologic care for patients with disabilities/special needs, contraceptive care, fertility preservation, and gynecologic care and surgical pelvic reconstruction for girls and young women with mullerian anomalies, reproductive tract anomalies, and anorectal malformations. Education is a central component of my career and I developed and served as the Fellowship Director of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology Fellowship. I also mentored numerous medical students, residents, and research fellows. I look forward to collaborating with others to advance the field of Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology.
