Christianne Myers is the Claribel Baird Halstead Collegiate Professor of Theatre & Drama, at the University of Michigan where she has designed more than 50 shows. Costume design highlights include Santa Fe Opera, Detroit Public Theatre, Irondale Ensemble Project, and The Juilliard School. Since joining U-M in 2002, she served as interim Chair of the Dept. of Theatre & Drama, and is currently the Area Head for Design & Production. She is the co-author of Redressing the Narrative: Combating Systemic Marginalization through Collective Engagement in Costume Pedagogy (12/24) with Studies in Costume and Performance.
She has published One Approach to Student Engagement in Educational Season Selection in HowlRound, and is a lead convener of the American Theatrical Costume Assoc. MFA in Costume Design from New York University.
