M. Remi Yergeau is an associate professor of Digital Studies and English at the University of Michigan. Yergeau is an autistic academic, and their scholarly interests include writing studies, digital rhetorics, queer rhetorics, and disability studies. Yergeau's book, Authoring Autism: On Rhetoric and Neurological Queerness (Duke UP), is a winner of the 2018 MLA First Book Prize, the 2019 CCCC Lavender Rhetorics Award for Excellence in Queer Scholarship, and the 2019 Rhetoric Society of America Book Award. Yergeau is currently at work on a second book project on disability, surveillance, and sociality, tentatively titled Crip Data.
