About
Dr. Wenche Wang is an Assistant Professor of Sport Management at the University of Michigan School of Kinesiology. Prior to her time at U-M, Dr. Wang was a postdoctoral associate in the Informatics Institute & Department of Economics at the University of Florida, where she also earned her PhD in Economics. Dr. Wang has broad research interest in the economics of sports, focusing primarily on two-sided markets and antitrust policy. Currently, she is researching antitrust issues pertaining to the monopsony power of the NCAA cartel, licensing intellectual property rights and restrictions on online ticket resales in professional leagues. She is also working on the impact of the use of social media in sports on consumer and social welfare.
