About

McKay's group explores the interactions between individuals with varying identities and their educational environments, especially in large, foundational college courses. They do this work through multi-institutional collaborations like the Sloan Equity and Inclusion in STEM Introductory Courses (SEISMIC) and ECoach projects. While their work often begins with big institutional data sets, they regularly augment this with qualitative research. Anyone interested in how complex social identities modulate the student experience in higher education should get in touch with this group.
