Dr. Ernst is the principal investigator on several grants, including one studying and improving reproductive healthcare for adolescents and women with disabilities in Ethiopia. Dr. Ernst is also a co-investigator on an NIH grant to develop a decision making tool regarding pregnancy for women with disabilities, and a co-investigator on a study about the implementation of expedited partner therapy for sexually transmitted infection. Her other current research projects include the evaluation of patient satisfaction with sexual assault services on campus and in the emergency department, along with utilization of post assault services on campus, and the evaluation of access to healthcare and barriers to services on campus for transgender college students.
