Melissa's research examines the impact that systems and organizations have on the delivery of healthcare for women and their families. Her mixed methods dissertation seeks to understand the impact of maternity deserts, the quality of pregnancy-related care delivered in the Emergency Department, and the relationship with maternal mortality and morbidity.
