Annette M. Masterson is a postdoctoral researcher in the School of Information at the University of Michigan. Her research centers on intimacy with artificial intelligence and robotics as a way to understand the social impact of personal technologies. She earned her Ph.D. in Media and Communication from Temple University, studying the sex robot industry from critical and institutional perspectives.
