A presentation for new and junior faculty at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor

Are you overwhelmed by all the acronyms and processes for getting funding for your research at U-M? Unsure what is meant by BFI funds, shortcodes, eGif, Concur, and discretionary funds? Want to learn more about internal pots of money and fellowships to support your research or help you achieve goals for promotion? Then this presentation is for you!
IRWG Director Anna Kirkland will demystify internal funding at the University of Michigan. She’ll explain the various funding sources, what these acronyms mean, and how to approach your money as you plan your UM career with examples, links, and resources. There will be time for Q&A at the end.
This presentation is specifically intended for collegiate postdocs, new, and junior faculty at UM Ann Arbor, particularly those in humanities and social science departments in LSA.
