Dr. Sarah Peitzmeier conducts mixed-methods research on gender-based violence and health in marginalized populations, including LGBTQ communities and sex workers. Her currently funded projects include 1) a mixed-methods study to better understand and screen for intimate partner violence in trans individuals, 2) work to develop the first evidence-based intervention to reduce sexual assault among trans/nonbinary undergraduates, and 3) a pilot longitudinal study to examine the health impacts of chest binding in trans masculine populations.
