Ryan McWay is an applied microeconomist with a focus in development economics. He has three projects related to gender and sexuality. The first focuses on the influence of female representation on the board of directors on firm performance and corporate governance. The second is exploring the intersection of the influence of sex and sexual orientation on economic preferences. And the third project, in a nascent stage, hopes to provide insight on the importance of social networks for LGBTQ members of communities in the developing context.
