Meng’s research interest includes gendered division of labor, job satisfaction, and academic subjectivity in higher education. Her research seeks to uncover the structural barriers to female faculty’s career advancement in higher education, particularly how institutions shape gendered expectations and division of labor that reproduce gender inequality.
