Laura Jadwin – Cakmak

Laura Jadwin-Cakmak, MPH is a Research Director in the Department of Health Behavior & Health Equity at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She conducts participatory research focused on achieving health equity for LGBTQ+ communities locally and globally, with a focus on transgender and nonbinary communities of color. Utilizing participatory approaches and qualitative and mixed methods designs, she engages with communities in Southeast Michigan, nationally, and in Kenya to assess local priorities and need, collaboratively design and implement behavioral interventions, and evaluate programs.
