Kelsi Caywood

Kelsi Caywood is a mixed methods scholar of comparative gender inequality, family, and work in the United States and East Asia. Her research examines cultural beliefs around parenthood, caregiving and intergenerational inequalities, and organizational and governmental work-family policies. Kelsi is interested in global family change and the gendered life course against a backdrop of aging populations and falling fertility.
Kelsi previously conducted research on global talent flows and women’s empowerment in the Asia-Pacific region as a research associate at Stanford University. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University, an M.A. in China Studies (Law and Society) from Peking University, and an M.A. in International Policy from Stanford University.
