Dr. Dove-Medows is a certified nurse-midwife and nurse scientist who studies the impact of racism on health. Using qualitative and mixed methods, she has studied measures of structural racism including racial residential segregation and neighborhood disorder and their impact on maternal infant health. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Systems, Populations and Leadership in the School of Nursing. She is expanding her program of research to include other populations including people living with HIV.
